Travel Allowance

Participating artists will receive a travel allowance regardless of the means of transportation used to reach the festival. This allowance is calculated based on the direct route from the starting point to the festival. Carpooling with at least three people in a private car/van or traveling by train or public bus qualifies for an additional bonus for environmentally friendly travel. Payment will be made exclusively by bank transfer and only after verification of the starting point and departure date.

The following conditions apply:

  • The distance from the starting point to Linz, starting no earlier than the reference date of July 19, 2026, will be used to calculate the travel allowance.
  • The travel allowance is based on a zonal model, meaning that distances are divided into zones, each with a fixed flat rate.
  • The travel distance is counted twice (for both the outbound and return trip), regardless of the actual return route.
  • Passengers traveling in a private car/van will receive a reduced travel allowance. A maximum of €1,000 in travel allowance will be paid per artist or group.
  • Accompanying persons are not entitled to a travel allowance and will not be included in the calculation.
  • To receive the travel allowance, proof of the starting point and departure date is mandatory. The reference date is July 19, 2026 — any documents dated before this cannot be accepted as travel proof.
  • The travel allowance is calculated based on three days of participation.
